Terms of Service for Mansfield Precision Lawncare & Landscaping
Updated 11/2/2025
Effective Date: 11/2/2025
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern all services provided by Mansfield Precision Lawncare & Landscaping (“Mansfield Precision,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By engaging our services, you agree to these Terms.
General Terms
Scope
These Terms apply to all work performed by Mansfield Precision, including both Weekly Property Maintenance (WPM) and Project Services.
Quotes & Estimates
WPM quotes are valid for 14 days from issue.
Project quotes are valid for 30 days from issue.
Because properties naturally change—grass grows, leaves fall, and conditions shift—pricing and scope must be refreshed after the validity period to ensure accuracy and fairness. Prices may also adjust for material costs, access limitations, or client-approved modifications.
Billing & Payment
Accepted payments: credit/debit card (autopay required for WPM), ACH, or check.
WPM: billed monthly in advance by property tier.
Projects: deposit required to secure scheduling; refundable up to 7 days before the scheduled start; non-refundable once work begins.
Final balance: due upon completion unless otherwise stated.
Late after 14 days: a 5% late fee may apply; services may be suspended for nonpayment.
Scheduling & Cancellations
We schedule based on route efficiency and availability. Weather and unforeseen conditions may require rescheduling; we’ll notify you as soon as possible.
WPM: follows a consistent weekly route day.
Projects: require 48 hours’ notice for cancellations; late cancellations may incur a fee up to 25% of the quoted cost. No-shows or access issues may incur a Lockout Fee.
Client Responsibilities
Clients agree to provide accurate property information and maintain access (gates unlocked, pets secured, vehicles/hoses removed).
Mark irrigation heads, lines, and invisible fences with visible flags before the first service and maintain markings year-round. Mansfield Precision is not responsible for damage to unmarked systems.
Communicate Top 3 WPM priorities or special requests at least 24 hours before route day.
Failure to provide access may result in a Lockout Fee equal to 50% of the visit price ($35 minimum).
Warranties
Plants & installations: one-year warranty applies only while the client remains continuously enrolled in WPM during that period; canceling WPM voids coverage.
Existing warranties issued prior to this version remain fully honored.
Exclusions: damage from weather, drought, pests, disease, or interference (e.g., adding rock/mulch, third-party work).
Liability
We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions or unmarked hazards (e.g., irrigation systems, lighting, pet fencing, buried wires, rocks, stumps).
Ice-melt products may stain surfaces or impact plants—by selecting winter services, you accept this risk.Mansfield Precision is not liable for slip-and-fall incidents or weather conditions occurring before or after the visit.
Light snow clearing is limited to approximately 3” and does not replace a plowing service.
Ice-melt is applied responsibly, but Mansfield Precision is not responsible for surface staining, plant stress, or freeze–thaw damage.
Our liability is limited to the total fees paid within the 90 days preceding any claim.
Content & Advertising Rights
By using our services, you grant permission for photos, videos, and other content captured during service to be used in our marketing materials, website, and social media.
You may opt out in writing prior to service.
Yard Signs: by using our services, you agree we may place temporary yard signs from March 1 to December 1.
We will text before signs are placed. If this is an issue, please contact us in advance to opt out.
Termination of Services
We may suspend or terminate service due to unsafe conditions, nonpayment, or repeated access issues.
Clients may cancel with written notice under the conditions stated above.
Completed work up to the termination date will be invoiced.
Dispute Resolution
Disputes must be submitted in writing within 14 days of the issue.
We will attempt to resolve them in good faith. If unresolved, disputes will be settled by arbitration in Mansfield, CT.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms periodically; posting them online constitutes notice. Continued use of our services indicates acceptance.

Weekly Property Maintenance (WPM)
Overview:
WPM is a year-round, flat-rate program with weekly visits to keep your property consistently maintained.
If mowing is needed, we mow. If not, we perform a Property Maintenance Visit (PMV) focused on high-impact upkeep that fits your Top 3 priorities and the seasonal focus.
Time Structure:
Each property falls into a size tier (Small / Medium / Large / XL) with an average crew service window.
Crews use their judgment to complete valuable work within that time, wrapping up cleanly before departure. Some visits may run slightly shorter or longer depending on conditions.
How It’s Decided:
Mowing takes priority when conditions require it.
When mowing isn’t needed, we perform PMV tasks based on your Top 3 and the season.
Requests must be submitted at least 24 hours before route day.
Large or extended tasks (≈1 hour+) are quoted separately as Project Services.
Core PMV Tasks (usable anytime):
Weeding in beds, cracks, and edges.
Edge line refresh and bed borders.
Light shrub pruning or shaping (non-ladder).
Perimeter trimming along fences or woodlines.
Stick, branch, and debris cleanup.
Trash and litter pickup.
Bed rake-refreshes and mulch bed smoothing.
Patio, porch, or driveway blowdowns.
Visual inspection (plant health, pests, irrigation).
Seasonal PMV Tasks:
Spring: re-edge beds, apply pre-emergent, early pruning, debris cleanup.
Summer: ongoing weeding, edging, shrub shaping, mulch raking.
Fall: weekly leaf control, deadheading, debris clearing, pre-winter pruning.
Winter:
Ice melt application, light snow ≤1-3”, branch cleanup, gutter and property checks.
Storm readiness & recovery: check drains, shovel mailbox access, salt entries, sand icy spots, remove small limbs, send photo updates.
Preventative maintenance: clear gutters before freeze, check downspouts, pull saplings/vines before snow.
Property appearance: tidy porches, walkways, and bed edges, keep mailboxes clear.
Pre-spring prep: cut back perennials, check mulch depth, pre-stage materials, fix edging, haul sticks.
Peace-of-mind updates with property photos and notes.
Winter Liabilities:
Winter services are preventative and limited to the scheduled weekly visit.
Mansfield Precision is not liable for slip-and-fall incidents or weather conditions occurring before or after the visit.
Light snow clearing is limited to approximately 3” and does not replace a plowing service.
Ice-melt is applied responsibly, but Mansfield Precision is not responsible for surface staining, plant stress, or freeze–thaw damage.
What WPM Isn’t:
WPM isn’t a mow-only or on-demand service. Large or one-time projects (hedge rows, heavy pruning, mulch installs, major leaf removals, plowing >1”, etc.) are billed separately as Project Services.
Crew members may decide when a request exceeds WPM scope and schedule it as a project.
WPM does not include driveway plowing, storm-trigger response, or snow removal outside the scheduled weekly visit. A separate plow provider is recommended for full storm events.
Scheduling & Extreme Weather:
WPM runs weekly on a set route day. Skips aren’t credited because alternative maintenance is performed.
If extreme weather prevents all work, a credit will be issued.
Winter Value — Property Protection & Continuity:
WPM continues through winter to maintain property appearance, protection, and peace of mind.
Clients who stay active keep their route day, pricing, and spring priority.
Clients who pause service are removed from rotation and may rejoin only if space allows.
As spots are limited, space is not guaranteed to ensure quality.
WPM + NOS Structure:
WPM is our standard model. Non-Standard Scheduling (NOS) — mow-only or biweekly — is offered only when it strengthens route density or retains nearby clients.
Rates
WPM = base
Weekly NOS = 1.25× base
Biweekly NOS = 2× base
